Your function

We are looking for a Learning and Development Manager to join the Ageas Academy Team. You will be responsible for the design, coordination and deployment of development initiatives and programs. Learning areas include: leadership development, technology & digitization, health & resilience

This includes:

  • Partner with business leaders and local HR departments to identify current and future development needs linked to the business strategy

  • Translate needs analysis into qualitative and impactful development offering

  • Design result oriented development interventions based on adult learning principles, identifying the relevant learning delivery methods

  • Coordinate delivery of development programs in collaboration with senior managers, SME’s (subject matter experts), local HR departments and external vendors

  • Actively promote and display the Ageas values throughout the full development offering

  • Stimulate and sustain learner motivation and engagement by fostering a positive learning climate

  • Track and monitor overall effectiveness of solutions delivered against the strategic objectives, including post-implementation review with business leaders

  • Feed and support the communication plan for the Ageas Academy in collaboration with your colleagues

Your profile

  • Master degree and 5 to 7 years of relevant working experience preferably within the insurance (or financial) sector

  • Active knowledge of English is a must, knowledge of French or Dutch is a plus

  • Experience in learning development such as instructional design, content development, workshop facilitation, managing group dynamics… is a plus

  • Good understanding of insurance business and markets is a plus.

  • Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously and have strong organizational skills.

  • Excellent stakeholder, client relationship and communication skills

  • Cultural awareness and ability to work with people with different backgrounds

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic team with a "can do" attitude and positive outlook.

  • Willingness to travel since this position requires on-site monitoring and/or facilitation of development programs.
